When he became President, Mr. Obama had a 65% approval rating and 30% disapproval rating from the American people. By July 24 a majority of Americans disapproved of President Obama. Six months to end the honeymoon. That may be the largest and quickest presidential popularity drop in United States history. All those smart, sophisticated people in the main street media were right when they told us his presidency was historic.
The reason for this historic event is simple. Mr. Obama did not understand his mandate from the American people. He did not understand why they elected him President. He thought they voted for his transformative policies. Wrong. Some may have, but many also voted for him because he was not George Bush and he was the first black nominated by a major political party. Therefore, to fulfill his mandate, President Obama only needed to not change his name to George Bush and not change his skin color (as did Michael Jackson).
Since he has not changed his name or skin color why the historic drop in approval? All these other things he has done (spend, spend, spend) and said (dissing America overseas and continually preaching to us at home) were not part of the mandate.
If only he would have stopped at being black and not George Bush his approval would still be high. Too late now.

If you did not know the White House has an official blog on its web site, you do now. The following picture and caption was part of a post named ”Over Beers” by Jesse Lee dated Thursday, July 30, 9:12 PM EST. (This reference is important in the event the White House decides this picture is worth more than a thousand words and removes it.) Oh, don’t forget, President Obama and Professor Gates are personal, long-time friends.

The only thing in the whole wide world that matches the size of Barack Obama’s ego is the size of his ears.

As long as The Cool One has celebrities passing away right and left (Jocko, Farah, Ed, etc.) we can just keep on going merrily along…la la la.
(Reported today the U.S. unemployment rate reaches 9.5%, a 26 year high. President Obama’s plan to deal with it was to blame it on Bush.)

Everything in the news (I like to call them the antique media, others call them the main street media or drive by media) for months has been how wonderful the Obamas are for America. How lucky we little people are to have them as our first couple, ruling us with such benevolence.
There are a few reasons the antique media continues the constant onslaught of such unprofessional reporting, one of which is to demoralize conservatives and Republicans (which we know are not the same thing, but Democrats/liberals think is). Try as they might, just ask yourself this: Why is it we have heard people that voted for Senator Obama say it was a mistake yet nobody that voted for Senator McCain say the same thing?

Since the inauguration of President Obama, the United States has experienced a rash of gun and knife violence. Some folks may believe the best thing to do is outlaw handguns and kitchen utensils. That only deals with the symptom. We need to treat the underlying cause of the disease: The Obama Administration.
We must all agree the people of this great country cannot continue to suffer the devastating increases in unemployment since Mr. Obama became President. As a diverse nation, we may not agree on all important issues facing this compassionate community of ours, but surely we can agree President Obama’s depressing economic rhetoric of monumental sacrifice required of all Americans (except professional athletes and Hollywood entertainers), his reminder of the stark reality of unimaginable multi-trillion-dollar deficits (to be paid off by children not yet born), his determination to rid the country of its nuclear arsenal (to prove our moral authority) while enemies ramp up theirs, are just a few of the stressful elements causing some of our fellow Americans to fall deeply into depression and despair. To lose hope.
In his Inaugural Address, President Obama stated “our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions - that time has surely passed. Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.”
Mr. Obama told us during his speech to the Democrat National Convention last summer “Individual responsibility and mutual responsibility - that’s the essence of America’s promise.”
Following his own words, President Obama must take responsibility for what he has wrought and make one of those personal sacrifices of which he is always reminding us. Resign the Office of the President. For the good of the country. After all, his has some skin in this game, too.
