
Why would anybody want to be a United States Senator making $158,100 per year, when they could make $5.2 million in four years in the private sector?
($158,100 was the annual salary for Senator Tom Daschle when the citizens of South Dakota decided not to renew his contract in 2004. $5.2 million is the approximate earnings of Mr. Daschle as a productive member of the working class since he vacated his Senate office on January 3, 2005.)

The not so big news this week is the arrest of the Democrat Governor of Illinois for conspiring to sell or trade former Senator Obama’s vacant Senate seat for its market value. How is this different from the unions contributing $55,700,000 to Democrat candidates for votes supporting card check?

Coincidences happen. During the 2004 presidential campaign, the Democrat candidate John Kerry was married to Teresa Heinz Kerry. The same Heinz as the popular Heinz 57 Varieties slogan of the H. J. Heinz Company. Earlier this year the Democrat candidate Barack Obama told an audience he had campaigned in 57 states. Spooky.
The reporters covering the 2008 campaign are at the top of their profession. That is why they are relentless in having Senator Obama name all 57 states. Assuming Senator Obama approves of the usual 50 states most Americans have come to know and love, what are the names of those other seven states?
